Hip Hop Night Is Alive & Kickin' It With OUTKAST!

Regardless of what you think of the movie "Idlewild"(which I LOVED btw) the OST is incredible. It continues to push the boundaries of what is considered hip hop & is an adventurous cd. I love me some Outkast cause they meld everything including the kitchen sink & make it sound so cool! Here's the vid for "Idlewild Blue" which blends folk w/hip hop:Such a cool vid too!And this is another of my fav songs on the cd:

    iodapril says awhile back when my dell's headphone jack was messed up bad, i would use this song to test and check the connection (and make sure music was coming from both headset sides). i don't think that makes a lot of sense, but let's just say I love it so much, i could easily tell when my headphones weren't up to snuff and would get so frustrated because i just wanted to hear the whole thing in it's hoppin intensity :) and then i found $20.

    Augusts1 says Kev, the movie reminds me of "Moulin Rouge"(another fav of mine), just an American version. There is so much going on it that it's a bit overwhelming but it's soooo good. I'm planning on buying it soon!

    Augusts1 says I 1st saw Moulin in the theater & it was REALLY overwhelming on the big screen w/so much stimulous happening at once. Glad I saw it though! It's one of those movies that is still amazing on tv but doesn't compare to in the theater.

    chucky says Ah...the reason is two-fold. The first is that if I post a whole album then no one has to buy it and the artists I love don't make money. (I also don't grab full albums generally - just a taster to see if I want to buy. Yep - I'm one of those annoying people. Love me anyway, right?) and the second is my crap ass connection. When I move and, hopefully, get a better connection - I'll post more at M.

    Augusts1 says Well, if I post then I've bought the album. So if you bought a cd & post it then it's an even trade. The artists both get revenue, just not as much. The artists make a far better income than me or you for the most part. I still love you anyway, lol!

    MrFrost says I didnt like the idlewild album at first, but it grew on me eventually. Im a huge outkast fan. Andre is a genius, but big boi is SO underrated. If he was a solo artist, I think hed get alot more praise. Im also glad andre is back to rapping, I love his singing, but when it comes to straight spittin on the mic... andre is top 5 in the game right now.

    Augusts1 says Yes it does Anna. I LOVE Outkast & am a huge fan as well Chuck. I really think that Big Boi is so underrated because Andre is so flamboyant & flashes so much skin, lol. He's the Yang to Andre's Yin! Not only is Andre flamboyant but he's also an amazing rapper w/an incredible flow. He's not a bad singer but far better at rapping.
