    Hey thanks Nordico. I kinda doubt we'll get another Q-Tip album so quickly, but then again, ya never know, he could suprise us.

    Actually if you want more Q-Tip go to my post & check out the link for a FREE mixtape he did awhile ago: http://mog.com/Augusts1/blog/238649 I've been enjoying it alot.

    I did notice a conspicious absence of a band that I hold near and dear, but I can't fault you for it....it's a solid list.

    I love the Erykah avatar/pict...there are just so many things right about it.

    ya ill let you guys do the listing for me :)

    i can never remember which albums come out when. but after reading these im like, 'oh ya! that did come out this year!' aha

    *Mike* yes they are!

    *Sam* it's actually quite easy to figure out what year albums came out. In most puter music players there is a search feature. Just put in '2008' & it will pull up all the '08 albums for you. But if you're just not into it, it's better to just let the rest of us do it!

    okay, now i fake-hate you and Dale. 40 and 25?!? i feel cheated. ;p awesome list, my dearling. you just gave me the bit of push i needed with Matmos and Clinic. i forgot about Real Emotional Trash, and who the hey are Cantinero? thanks for so many leads!

    ps- oh, August. you are hopelessly Baduistic. (;

    How can you feel cheated w/40 & 25? I can see if our lists were less than 10, haha! Both Matmos & Clinic are worthy of your attention(I reviewed the clinic album too here:http://mog.com/Augusts1/blog/157729). Also, here's Cantinero's mog page: http://mog.com/music/Cantinero. I know Chris the singer/ songwriter of the group too(at least virtually by email & mog).

    And yes I'm hopelessly & unabashedly Baduistic!!!!

    I'm still trying to sort out my top 30 or so, but we'll surely have some overlap -- what a surprise! TVOTR is strong indeed, but I feel it's marred just a bit by a few missteps in some of the quieter tracks.

    Permalink posted 12/31/2008
  21. Augusts1 says

    I doubt we'll have much overlap since my music tastes are surely more plebian than yours!

  22. 1234chainsaw says

    I'm counting 2 in the end (TVOTR and Kills), but Spiritualized, Portishead, Clinic, and Sigur Ros were seriously in contention for my top 30. I'd say that's not a bad convergence, given the differences in our tastes!

     Sounds like a top 35 or 40 would've been in order then . . . .
