Now that Blur have officially reunited(they are playing shows in London, summer '09, got an official email announcing so on Thurs.) I'm really wondering what is going on with Gorillaz. Someone had posted awhile back that Damon & Jamie were planning on doing another album, even after they had stated last year they would not.

So will the Gorillaz album be postponed due to the Blur reunion? I wouldn't mind if this is the case if it means a Blur album since it's been FOREVER since they've done anything. Just so many damn questions in my mind. I'm going crazy with curiousity and neither band site is giving up any deets.
There is the Albarn/Hewlett opera collab. album 'Monkey Journey To The West' that was released recently but that doesn't count as a Gorillaz affair in my mind(although they are promoting it on the Gorillaz site). So does anyone have any further info. on wazzup with Gorillaz?

Just bring on new music, Albarn, Don't care about the configuration...
according to a news report they will be making another album soon. I can not remember where I read that, may have been the newsletter they sent out
If Gorillaz are making another album, I can't see the Blur gigs slowing it down much. One month of rehearsing (without beating each other up) and a month of gigs....

*Neill* well, I'm kinda hoping Blur will put out an album, so I DO hope it slows down Gorillaz. But let's hope they don't kill each other first!

Here's a tough one for you...if you had to pick between getting a new Blur album or a new Gorillaz album in 2009....which one would you pick?!
Easy, I want BOTH damnit! haha No actually I'd prefer a Blur album since it's been since '03 since they've released anything. So what would you prefer?

Yea that's an incredibly eye catching photo! I commented on that post but don't recall seeing that photo. I think I was more focused on your reaction & searching the web to find out more about what was going on in Greece!
