The Invisible Cities Do Online Concert Tonight 7/14!
For those of you who might recall, I did a post on San Francisco bay area band The Invisible Cities right before xmas last year. I continue to enjoy their last album 'Houses Shine Like Teeth' that you can download for free on their website. I've also added them as a friend on my Facebook page.
Yesterday on Facebook & today they posted about doing a live concert stream on their website this evening 7/14 at 8:30pm PST. It will be streamed on their website here. So get in on some live TIC. I'm really looking forward to seeing them since I've yet to see them live.

I wouldn't put it past them since they have songs like 'Corpus Callosum' & 'Pythagorean Theorem'. They are a thinking person's band for sure. Did you know their latest album is a FREE download on their site? Click on through at the link I provided in the post. I think you'll enjoy it Sam!
The live concert was fun since they had an open chat going for the fans on their site & they had their computer on & projecting the chat comments up on the wall across from them so they could interact w/fans online as well as the ones present. Us online fans requested a few songs too that they played & they even talked to me directly asking if they knew me. I had emailed them a question about their previous album earlier in the day & Sadie recognized my name from my email. They know me now. I love technology!
Oh, too bad I didn't see this until today!

The chat was a lot of fun! And today on their Facebook page they responded by saying they enjoyed meeting me virtually. So yea, they know me now but not visually. I'm sure I'll meet them sometime soon though. I didn't know that that online concert was actually open to fans as well. I saw an earlier post on FB where they had the address of the house they performed in but I didn't see it until after the concert. Oh well!

ya i picked up that album when you first posted it! its really good. i like 'the only reason the club was made' the most. thats a freakin sweet idea for the show. man times are 'a changin huh?
Oh cool! Yea I really like that song too. I think it was one of the first ones I really latched onto that made me pay attention to the lyrics.

i remember Pythagorean Theorem. did i know the album is a free download? what am i doing sitting on my ass here? this makes 2 free albums i should be getting from you pronto. (i know, sorry, we just had a typhoon that knocked trees down and cut power lines off, that's my excuse. :D)
Well typhoon's are a great excuse in my estimation! I think I posted my first TIC post while you were still galavanting around the countryside so I'm sure that's why you didn't know about the free download. So it's a good thing I did another post eh? Then again, you recall Pythagorean Theorem so maybe you did see it but got sidetracked & didn't download the album. Oh well, you know now!
