What are you all thinking? NO ONE has reported about Download Festival at Shoreline Amphitheater, NO ONE! I had checked it out a few months ago & seriously there was no one I was all that interested in seeing. Atmosphere & Brand New were set to play so since I'm not much of a fan of either I wasn't planning to go. But I was checking to see if Jesus & Mary Chain were playing in the bay area & saw they are going to be at Download Festival.

Yup, it sure is Nick. Not sure what happened to Atmosphere but oh well. I don't know alot of the other bands playing but it will be fun checking out new bands. I've gone the last two years & had a blast. It's a great fest!

I'd go see at least 10 of these bands, if they weren't on the bill at a gigantic outdoor cram-fest. But that's just me. (Will be watching the club listings for the one-offs - heh!)
Mute Math is the main reason I'd go see them in Philly - I'll be seeing Iggy the following WE in Baltimore - so that one is less necessary ;) Still - 2x the Iggy - never a bad thing !!!

Marigold I'm not familiar w/M83 but do like Mates of State so looking forward to them. I'm also interested in hearing what Natalie Portman's Shaved Head sounds like! I wonder what Natalie thinks of having a band named after her? TFF. I think there are links to the various band's sites on that site.
Jameson, not familiar w/Alberta or Yeasayer(although the names sound familiar, I've heard them before). The left coast "hates" you too for all the concerts on the east coast we can't attend, ya bastards, hehe!

Mike, this fest is a favorite of mine(I've gone the past two years). It's actually alot of fun. I really like Shoreline Amphitheater too, not a bad seat in the house really.
Lizzie, you're back from the dead! Welcome back. I'm just meh w/Mutemath. Sure they put on a great show, but the music is far, far less interesting to me. If they put more of their performance energy into the music they might have me as a fan.
