Going To Coachella, Coachella, Coachella!

Two more days before I'll be on my way to the coolest music festival around! I'm so ecstatic, I can barely contain my excitement.And I can't believe that I'm going to get to see PORTISHEAD, people! PORTISHEAD! And see them perform their new material. Do you realize the magnitude of this event? I didn't think I'd ever see them since they'd broken up & I didn't get to see them when they were first together. Day-ummmmmmm!Portishead "Silence" at All Tomorrow's Parties July '07:Also looking forward to seeing Goldfrapp! Fuck'n Alison GOLDFRAPP! Oh & can you say Hot Chip? And of course the Crown funky PRINCE himself! GODDAMN PRINCE, did you hear me?! Not to mention The Breeders, Love & Rockets, Aphex Twin & mucho, mucho mas! Lord, I'm going to pass out from all this excitement. Geezus christ!I'll be turning off my email notifs. so please don't be offended if I don't respond to your posts from this thursday 4/24- 4/28.

I am staying w a load of friends like last year (where I ended up sleeping on a floating mattress in the pool for $30 buck a night. not bad. not bad.) This year's gonna be sick - so psyched Prince was added.....and I'm with Lizzie on the Annuals (plus Deathcab, Santo, Chromeo, Hot Chip, and good ol Roger). Gotta say though.....granted it's on a polo field so we should expect some sort of irreverent elitism....but they refused to provide me with a photopass this yr though I was covering it for three diff publications (including one international print and online). Evidently you have to be a prince to cover Prince for others to see.....Since there are so many other worthy festivals, they won't be able to compete with that sort of attitude....(have you seen Lolla's line-up, may I remind you?!) Instead, you'll find me by the pool :) chillaxin in the desert sun. Anthem Magazine is hosting a bad ass fiesta as well during the day..... but seriously, i'll be keepin a daily tab on the Coachella fuzzz. should be great.

Even when reporting for 3 mags? Wow, now that's cold. So you'll be in Palm Springs or near the fest but not in it?
