Over on Erykah's fansite in the forums, Erykah's website administrator dropped a bomb on us yesterday 10/4/09! It was announced that 'New Amerykah Part Two: Return Of The Ankh' will be released(FINALLY) on February 23rd, 2010! Been waiting for an official drop date for a over a year now.
Apparently the first single 'Jump Up In The Air And Stay There' will be released shortly. No concrete release date for the single as of yet but should be soon since the album will be out in 3 months. I posted a short live sample some time ago of the song and also experienced it live when I saw Erykah in San Francisco at Davies Hall supporting Mos Def & it was truly JUMPIN'. Here's a snippet of it she performed live well over a year ago on 8/27/08 at Chastain in Atlanta, GA(I think that's where the venue is):
Further official confirmation of the album's release date came today by way of okayplayer.com's announcement here. There is also a vid of her performance/interview at the Red Bull Soundclash in Dallas, TX last month which is killer clip!
I'm SO excited for this, been looking forward to it for quite a long time, you have no idea!

This seems to follow the pattern ofher debut release..single out by the holidays,album in the new year when less folks have stuff out. It really,really worked the first time. After On and On,fans were clamoring for Ms. Badu..hasn't stopped since.

Thx! Yes, that pic is totally HAWT! She has an amazing booty. It mesmerizes even me(& you know I don't swing that way but she has to be HAWT if it captures my attention, lol. Then again, I'm not opposed to admiring anyone who is gorgeous. I'm not picky, all you have to be is beautiful. Simple enough right? Not really, j/k. I'm not THAT shallow. Ok, maybe somewhat, heh)!
