Received an email today from Erykah Badu's myspace page today informing of a new single to be released Nov. 20th, '07. The new single is entitled "Honey". The new album is set to be released February 26th, 2008, Erykah's birthday.
According to an interview link I went to from her website, they were planning to release the first of three cds this past September '07. There was no word until today about when the first cd was to be released and I've been going crazy trying to find out when it's coming out! Cuz you all knows I luz me some Erykah!E. Badu describes the new single as "an old school track with some funk on it." This will be her first full length album since '00s "Mama's Gun". She did release an EP "Worldwide Underground" in '03. It's been FOUR long years with no new material. DAMN Erykah, day-um!
