I would've posted this yesterday for hip hop thursday but this just was posted on Yahoo! not long ago today. Apparently rapper DMX is very unhappy because in the Maricopa County, AZ jail, they are forcing him(as well as other inmates) to wear pink prison garments instead of the normal bright orange(or black & white stripes). According to AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio, his policy has been that inmates wear pink prison clothing for the last 10 years. Sheriff Arpaio says that inmates were stealing the white garments(underwear, t-shirts, socks, etc.) so he solved the problem by dying garments pink, haha. That measure has stopped the theft, so it worked. Smart guy that Sheriff.
DMX 'Party Up':
DMX was quoted as saying ""This is ridiculous, this is disrespectful," like jail is supposed to be about respect? Have some respect for yourself Earl(DMX) & quit doing the shit that gets you in jail in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I love me some DMX but you can't complain if you're up for serving your time in jail. What's really sad is that he didn't act to avoid getting in jail in the first place. His charges include drug use, animal cruelty(for starving dogs of his to death) & fraud. Drug use & fraud are bad enough but neglecting animals in your care is totally inexcusable!
What's even worse is where has his posse been all this time? They obviously didn't give a shit enough about him to confront him on his behaviour. Sad, sad indeed. Do your time DMX & shut the fuck up! Then when you get out put out a killer album to show them all up. Unfortunately no one will give a fuck when he gets out of jail.

Can you believe he's saying in the interview that 'jail used to be the place, alright I'll go there, I'll be the life of the party'. I'm sorry, talk about ignorance.

I wondered, when I heard that he had been put in Maricopa County Jail, if he would have a run-in with Joe Arpaia. The guy's a bit out there, but he runs a tight prison system. It's not like you're getting singled out Earl, so suck it up and do your time, then make darn sure you don't do any more, capice?
Exactly. And from that vid they say D has had a 15 yr. history of criminal activity w/o serving any significant jail time. So stop yer whining, ya sissy & wear your pink proudly Earl. It's pretty appropriate for jail I'd say, ahahaha!

As much as I like DMX's music (here's a surprise for ya!), when someone who is in jail feels the need to complain about garments, he's either very lucky or very mental.
