WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Good Pop Is Hard To Find

Posted over 2 years ago
I am one of those strange people who sometimes gets a craving for Pop music. Music I don't have to think about much and can just enjoy. I had this album in my library by Architecture In Helsinki. I had never heard of them, but was giving the album a listen and immediately was thinking "wow, this is pretty darn good pop!" Like I said, I had never heard of them before, but they have over 5 million plays on last.fm....so they can't be too terribly obscure. Seems they are from Australia and they have quite the following. The songs are fun to sing along to, and there are weird and fun instruments being played. Anyway, this is my favorite song off the album after a few listens, so check it out.

  1. Puffmagic says I've heard of them but haven't "heard" them. Until now that is....dun dun DUUUUNNN! I always imagine guys with voices this weird sitting alone writing these songs and singing like this in their bedrooms and how weird that would sound if you were outside the door.

  6. lemontwist says Totally (almost?) unrelated, but the other day Chris was telling me that he almost got me a shirt that says "My favorite band is better than your favorite band" I have not heard any Architecture in Helsinki. Is it rockin' pop or more poppy pop? Anyway, just wanted to say hi on MOG, because, you know, I haven't commented on MOG pages in mad long.
