Exciter is one of my more favorite albums from DM. And I own ALL of them.

anna: hi horrible monkey barb; although I'm not a fan of DM, I saw them last year twice; one of those performances was about 3 hours and they were really awesome. I like them period.

I realize that being European (and not even from one of the important European nations) you probably have no idea what I'm going on about. Damnit, sometimes I wish you were American, like everybody else in the world. :p

Guso: I think the joke was that Greece is so tiny and insignificant, that all of their internet connections go through a single router. That's how I took it, anyway. And found it quite amusing. :)

guso: Northern Greece would have core routers, and would be even farther upstream than a commercial ISP - usually run by the govt. - it was very tongue in cheek... I'm sure they have more than one router there... the Internet should never go down, ever, by design... (on a regional level I mean) - but I will geek out here in to a territory that is quite boring if you let me... and I don't want to - too much like work... :)

my friend tests out his bass response on his hifi stereo system with this album. its a beautiful album.

I haven't had internet at my place for over a month. Have to do all my stuff at the uni, and that is very annoying to say the least. Also because now I can't listen to the youtube link since I can't seem to plug my headphones in here somewhere. Moreover, you can't do personal stuff because everyone can just read along with you.

And router isn't a word in my vocabulary either, nor is it in any of my 9 other housemates. So getting internet back, especially with those idiotic companies, is a tour de force to say the least.

I'm telling you, bands that have been around twenty years aren't _supposed_ to make magic like this, but DM keep at it. Martin Gore may be the most perverted songwriter gong, but the man's creativity is still remarkable.

On another note, one of my white-whale quests is to get Melissa to a Depeche Mode show. I've seen then one time, and I would love to hear the new material live.

Dale, I saw them several times in the 80's and then again last year, which was pretty freaking amazing... it's just like you say, it amazes how they managed to stay fresh. And Gahan is still a stage animal. There's so much love between the band and their audience... you GOTTA make it happen. Your wife won't be disappointed!
