Other than havin' what in my opinion is the coolest group name ever, these guys are bein' charged with lyrics such as 'kiss my soundsystem, eat my headache',a noisy/indie/stylish/ultrasexy music aftertaste,a male singer with a voice that resembles a bass & 2 bass players.Yep,it's all about the bass.Songs to get to love them:speedwaykill the sexplayercrash17(x-rated car)disco six six sixroxyblack holevogue thingpleasurizedp.s.I've lost track of them after 2002,if any1 knows sth I don't,please share.

The group began as a side project of Eli Janney and Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty. Canty soon left the project and by 1991 Janney had gone on to recruit three former members of D.C. hardcore punk group Soulside—Scott McCloud, Johnny Temple, and Alexis Fleisig—to complete the line-up. Girls Against Boys are perhaps most notable for employing dual bass guitars, a rarity in rock music, and for their second album, Venus Luxure No.1 Baby, a heavy yet nuanced entry into early 1990s post-hardcore. nothing known after 2002

  6. Davis Presley says You're right about the name. I see that they're reforming for the Touch & Go Anniversary show next month. Eli Janney also produced/engineered Brainiac's "Hissing Prigs In Static Couture" LP which equals a major thumbs-up in my book. Get this if you don't already have it.
