Valentine's Day? Meh.

I can't say I ever gave a pooh about it, regardless of my love life's status. I don't hate it, because the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. So, meh.

Now, music wise, I do like me some related Placebo lyrics. Placebo - Blind: If I could tear you from the ceiling, And guarantee a source divine, Rid you off possessions fleeting, Remain your funny valentine.

Placebo - Taste In Men: Come back to me awhile Change your taste in men I'm killing time on Valentine's Waiting for the day to end.

But I always like me some Placebo, so that doesn't really count.

Which brings me to the next song. I think it's nice for this day:

My little boy had his school's carnival party today, sporting a metallic knight costume which looked incredibly funky with his little afro... and I love him so... and not just him... I don't give a shit what day it was, but it started out BAD (fucked up internet connection... overslept... boooring meeting... stress...) and ended GOOOD (cool woman technician who fixed my broadband, meeting OVER, happy kid, fantastic & unexpected Valentine, best friend with her familiy coming over for a spontaneous crazy sandwich-dinner with the kids, and now peaceful chilling...) I will say that I love the whole world right now. Probably those Cuba Libre's I'm having since dinner are helping, too.... (for all you Americans.... Cuba Libre= Rum & Coke... I guess it's called Liberty Coke over there...)

Crash, I love "As Good As It Gets", Jack is sooooo excellent in it. He plays a curmudgeon really well! Anna, did you happen to see the Kitty Washing Machine vid on Youtube? I saw it on another blog & it is hideously funny. I was gonna post it but it's been removed from Youtube. It showed a cat in this machine made specifically to wash pets but it seemed to be more traumatic cause the spraying water scared the shit outta the poor thing & it was jumping all over inside the machine(it had a glass door)! And happy Meh day to you too dear!

I did get a really sweet valentine from one of my 6th grade students. I am "the coolest teacher he's ever had." So, even though my ex-husband (who left me nine years ago to the week, by the by) told me the other day that I should have been something other than a teacher if I wanted to have any money, what is money when you are The Coolest Teacher.
