Miss Kittin

Or as I like to call "her":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Kittin, the adult, politically incorrect version of CSS."Here are 3 fav tracks of hers":http://annazrk.multiply.com/music/item/128, Frank Sinatra (with the Hacker), 1982 (with the Hacker again) & Rippin Kittin (with Golden Boy).Warning, rated R electroclash."Official Site":http://www.misskittin.com/

  3. fairportfan says *Joxley says:B My brain tells me I don’t like it…but my ears say I do Wow. Exactly the comment i was gonna make - but phrased a lot better. BTW, this is Miss Kitty: She turned up at the store where Kate was working, not yet full grown and pregnant. She was in such good shape and so friendly - she walked up to Kate and said "Feed me" - that we're sure some bastard abandoned her when she got pregnant (there aren't any houses near the store, so she didn't just wander away from home). So we took her to a vet who participates in a spay/neuter program and, for $15, she got a kitty abortion and had her tubes tied. She's the most loving thing, and most of the time isn't happy if she's not snuggled up to somone (usually Kate), purring like a chainsaw. I named her shortly after she got home from the vet; but if i'd waited a bit longer and watched her eat after having been hungry for a few days, i might have named her "Miss Scarlett"...

  4. Anna says Guys, this is the exact same feeling I had when I first listened to Frank Sinatra. Unbelievable. I've seen her spin, talk about raw, hardcore techno, I don't think I'd be able to stand it now. But her albums are not like that, so I still listen to them up to this day. Mike, awww she's so cute. My Sarbel says "miaouh" :)

  5. Zeroskilz says I always liked Rippin Kitten, and "the video for it,":http://music.yahoo.com/ar-291505-videos--Golden-Boy but I never really got into anything else she did. I don't remember having heard Frank Sinatra. I'll have to check it out.

  7. Viva La Britt says Uh-oh, Anna seems to be on a Miss Kittin kick- look out, world ;) A, what's your relationship with "Peaches":http://bal1201.multiply.com/music/item/128 ? Come on over- and you, too, John, for that matter. The dames of MOG should have had you completely corrupted ages ago...you'll be dealt with in '07, promise.

  8. Zeroskilz says I love Peaches first album, but it does get a little repetitious. Brush up on your Greek before you try Anna's songs. She's gone all sorority on her mp3 tags. ;) For all I know, they said something about singing to muses or rosy-fingered dawns.

  9. Anna says Shit, you read me like a book. Yeah, the Miss Kittin kick always has side effects.. ;) I've never heard of Peaches, but anyone who qualifies as your biological mother, is well worth meeting, girl. Thanks for the heads up :) Uh-oh. What did I do now? I swear the only thing I did, was naming them (in English).

  10. ethajn says I'll file her under "guilty pleasures"... I must say, I liked Rippin' Kittin more than Frank Sinatra. It just seemed less...grating, I guess.

  21. triff says i've yet to get round to listening to her Sonar CD properly (i.e. when my amp/speakers aren't being used for telly nonsense and i have to make do wi' crappy PC ones) but as it's post-christmas now, i have a pile of CD's four metres high to get through before i'll even see it again :( i'll report back. Saw Peaches mentioned up there - she cropped up in an interesting story lately, CSS led me to Bonde Do Role and other baile funk, which got me to Diplo then Mercury nominee M.I.A (all of which i'm bouncing to at the mo), who only started making music cos she was taught to use a 505 by Peaches - as you'll see if ya click da linky... I've had a love of electro-disco-clash-metal nonsense since the first time i stepped into the Sub Club in Glasgow with Optimo at the decks - long before 2many DJ's popped up, money came in guineas and bread was pre-sliced. i'm rambling now and i bet no-one reads this so i'll go fetch another beer and turn this shiny Amon Tobin album up some more... :) (shh!)
