Someone call the ambulance...

Artist:
...there's gonna be an accident.
From www.Placeboworld.co.uk:
Placebo are back in the studio working on a new album! The band finished their last touring campaign in September of last year in the USA (on the Projekt Revolution tour with Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance). Since then the band have taken some much needed time out and over the past couple of months have been hard at work writing and demoing new material in London. The boys are now recording with producer David Bottrill (the man behind Tool's 'Aenima', 'Salival' and 'Lateralus' albums, Silverchair's 'Diorama' and dEUS 'The Ideal Crash'). Engineering the album is James Brown who worked with the band on 'Meds'.
...And on the drums with Placebo...?!!!!! Introducing... Mr Steve Forrest! Hailing from Modesto, California, he was previously the drummer with American rock band, 'Evaline'. Some of you may have spotted Steve playing with Evaline supporting Placebo on their US tour in October '06.
Posted on August 6th.
Oh it's on. It's so on. And I'm ready, so ready. Been waiting for a year. My meds. Someone get me my meds. So happy!

I'm ready for this. Placebo rocks.
OMG. someone ask the ambulance to make a stopover here.
i just fainted...
(; thanks for the headsup, dear. i am bringing the guns (the eyeliner) out. it is so on!
In every conceivable way...can't wait!
poe, hahah will do! I was afraid that they would call it quits...so these news were a big relief to me :)
You bring the eyeliner, I'll bring the black nail polish, and the good times will roll :)
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! It's been far too long since we've had new music from Placebo, this is very happy news.
And I do remember the drummer from Evaline, he was pretty good. I feel relieved; losing the original drummer was not happiness. Band chemistry can be such a fragile thing.
Dale, I thought you'd get excited, too! :D
I hadn't heard of Evaline before this, but I gotta trust Molko's instinct (I can bet my left arm that he's one hell of a picky chap...).
Here's to happy (by which I mean "depressive") music times to come :)
"I hadn't heard of Evaline before this, but I gotta trust Molko's instinct (I can bet my left arm that he's one hell of a picky chap...)." - uh huh!
Accept no placebo. Four out of five doctors (and lots of MOGgers) agree: Only the real Placebo will do - even with new ingredients. ;-)
poe, Placebo fans think alike! :D
Mikey he he he he
We might need a prescription from MOG-father...bet he's not going to give me one before I swear eternal alliance to the Rolling Stones...arg, MOG politics! :)
OMG, my husband will pee his panties!

I hope it turns out to be a good record despite this fact.
(Sorry, my snarky side hasn't had enough outlets lately...)
while you were able to win me over with the shadow puppets, placebo is one act I have never been too fond of. Can we still be friends?
Well folks, I have never once listened to Placebo. It seems from the crew that I am truly missing something?!
They're aiight! Happy for ya Anna, woo hoo!
It's about time we had another round of Placebo crack-posts from Anna. Just when I was almost clean and sober.
Mistress AMG, that will make two of us then ha ha ha :)
Hubby has great taste!
Pekka, are you mad! The Ideal Crash was a really really good album.
Kevin, yes, if you can live with the fact that I will keep on trying to EMCD them on you FOREVER. :)
Oatmeal, you are you are! Have a small taste...

Lemme know if anything strikes your fancy :)
Cheers, uncle A!
Jonh, why yes......my road is filled with muses, monkeys, and puppets, but I never neglect to pay a visit to pharmacies along the way & distribute the corrupting tablets...
I cannot wait for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They should please their fans by releasing it, say, next month? Brian, if you're reading this, early October works for us just fine...
I will say I do like the Meds song as well as the video......maybe there is a chance
There is still hope for Kevin's misguided soul... :D
like some of their stuff - but mainly I am not so into them... forgive me sis !!!
They have an ep that I dig & their covers are cool - that's about it !!!
