Still Video Life: This Week's New Videos in Still Shots

There's only one thing on my mind this week, and that's Xiu Xiu's video for Dear God, I Hate Myself. It basically consists of a girl putting her fingers in her throat and vomiting for 3 minutes straight. Three things are strange about this -yes, only three. One, it's not as disgusting as you'd think it is. Two, it's actually a brilliant video. Three, the girl somehow manages to look gorgeous throughout the whole time.
Now, what is causing all this? I've been taunted by this question for days now (yes, videogeeks tend to overreact like that). I simply must get to the bottom of this.
Is it the terror that the evil bunny in Massive Attack's majestic Splitting The Atom evokes?
Is it the alternate video for Passion Pit's Sleepyhead that somehow manages to make the song sound even more annoying than it already is?
Is it jealousy over all the lovely outfits Florence is changing in the otherwise boring video for Hurricane Drunk?
Is it the despicable 80s video aesthetics and effects the Acrylics use in Molly's Vertigo?
(seriously; enough is enough with the 80s revival; MAKE IT STOP OR I'M SENDING THE BUNNY AFTER YOU)
Or is it Tony Yayo's unfortunate choice of booty for King Of The Pyrex?
I shall not rest till I get my answer...

Ya know, I read somewhere that Tony Yayo had a new album. I knew the music would suck, but I figured he at least had enough pull as 50's hype man to get some decent video hoes.

That xiu xiu vid will become infamous mark my words. And the girl barfs on the guy next to her at the end! I saw it earlier this week & I could barely get through it. Love the song though.

I'm actually avoiding the vid because I think it's just a bit, well, I can't imagine liking watching a girl puke for three minutes straight. Now I'm thinking perhaps I should watch it. I'm gonna do some further thinking on that one. XD
Btw, I love the Massive Attack vid, that one is beautiful. I thought it was a pussycat actually. XD
the Florence video made me think of the last time I saw STP live... Scott was wearing a totally normal outfit and I SWEAR TO whomever that he literally took off one article of clothing after every song, and somehow still managed to be adequately clothed by the end of the set.
except, of course... Florence manages to grow bigger outfits with every shot. Which is admirable. And they are awesome.
