Fun Lovin' Criminals

Posted over 5 years ago
''The Fun Lovin' Criminals are an alternative rock band from New York City. Their music is a blend of many styles, most notably hip hop, rock and blues, and their songs deal with everyday life in New York: drugs, organized crime and politics'' (wikipedia).I'd like to add hot women to that list.Discography:Come Find Yourself100% ColombianMimosa Loco Bag Of HitsWelcome To Poppy'sLivin' In The CityTracks to love 'em by:Scooby SnacksKing Of New YorkLove UnlimitedBig Night OutToo HotSmoke'emPersonal favourite lyrics (from their single Love Unlimited):Barry White, saved my lifeAnd if Barry White, saved your lifeOr got you back with your ex-wifeSing Barry White, Barry White, its alright..I LOVE their name as much as I love their music. They're both oh so sexy cool.p.s.Anti-Amy has an FLC T-shirt.I'm jel :P

  2. jameson says Wow, flashbacks. _Come Find Yourself_ was a FANTASTIC ALBUM (still is). Fun-Loving Criminals were such a breath of fresh air in a sea of smog. Scooby Snacks was a great song, and King of New York was a ??pre-?? Soprano's ode to the mob. And it was so good.

  11. BobDobalina says I like the Fun Lovin' Criminals because, even though they admit to being criminals, they're not afraid to let their hair down and have a little fun with it. I mean, if you're going to be a criminal, you might as well have fun and enjoy it, right? Otherwise, why do it? I mean aside from the obvious adventure and instant wealth. I also like that they just went ahead and dropped that pesky "g" at the end of "Loving" because it shows that they won't be tied down to social or literary convention. That just underscores to me how truly "fun lovin'" they are! "Wheee! We just stole some stuff and now we're going to have some drinks and maybe get together with friends to go bowling!" they might say. And that's what makes them "Fun Lovin' Criminals."

  19. QueenofHell says I have been out with the lads from work and am about to go out for a family dinner so am a bit pissed but I want to chip in ... I love the Barry White song. I seem to remember singing it loudly and sillily (nonword) at someone's party. My boyfriend of the time was mortified.

  32. jotro says Good stuff. Is Mackie still the drummer? He played on one of my favorite records, Cro-Mags - Age of Quarrel.
    Permalink posted 11/26/2006
  33. Anna says Wiki says that Mackie was replaced in 2003 by Mark (aka "Frank" or "The Rhythm Master") from Leicester, UK, who had previously worked with the band as Mackie's technician. I have no reason to argue with that :)
