  1. TroyPowers says Hmmm...I listened to the two new songs at myspace, but...didn't really hear another "Tear You Apart."

  2. Anna says Oh, that's a good thing to me, not because I don't like the song, but because I'm more than open to non-hit songs from them :) I just heard Written In Blood for the first time 10 mins ago, so I don't have an opinion yet, but True Romance got stuck in my blonde head for good.

  3. TroyPowers says I'm not necessarily looking for the same type of hit, but I wanted something that was going to grab me the way "Tear You Apart" did the first time I heard it. I still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard it. Then again, maybe it's because of where I was and what I was doing that it grabbed me the way it did. I just can't get into new music when I'm sitting at my computer at work.

  4. Lizziegreeneyes says Not familiar with this band - but I am really liking Written in Blood over Tear You Apart & True Romance... just my first listens on all tracks though !!! Dig the hook in Written in Blood... taste-T !!!!

  5. Dale says Wonderful news, sis! I'm with you that "Tear You Apart" was one of my least favorite songs from the debut. I'll check out their Myspace later, as Myspace is blocked on the work network.

  6. Dale says I hate to do this, but I have to, it's in my blood. I like the lead single, but in the video, they couldn't have bit harder from the movie "The Hunger" if they had asked David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve to reprise their roles. That really bothers me; couldn't they have come up with an original treatment for the video? BOO! Here's Exhibit A: The video for "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus, culled from scenes from "The Hunger":

  7. Anna says Ah, Troy, gotcha. I think it's actually the combination of both, a song hook and a circumstances hook that get us. Lizzie, excellent! Anything SWR's you need, let me know. Wink wink ;) Dale, I owe my love for this band to you, Blair & Pekka (triple EMDCing! I feel so violated :P ) I agree with ya, but I'm getting the feeling that this is more like the cover of a video, if I may call it that (which is a rad idea, if you think of it!). You know, like putting a fresh spin on that video to pay their respect. This is my conclusion from the way it was filmed.

  8. Dale says I think we'll have to agree to disagree on that, but who's got time to argue? New She Wants Revenge! w00t!

  9. Anna says Hehe, no worries :) w00t! p.s. why we don't have it on M when it's coming out on October is beyond me!

  10. Dale says We're getting a bit spoilt and impatient. I was able to download new songs "Written In Blood" and "Black Liner Run" from their MySpace, so that will have to tide me over.

  11. Augusts1 says I think they should've had 'True Romance' as the lead single since I think it is a far better song than 'Written In Blood'. TR shows some growth in their sound whereas WIB sounds like too many of their songs on their debut. I'm going to see them at the Download Festival Oct. 6th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre near San Jose, so I'm getting excited since The Cure, BRMC, Kings Of Leon, Metric, AFI(& a few others that you can check out "*here*":http://www.downloadfestival.com/index.php?module=xarpages&func=display&pid=23 are also playing & I haven't seen any of these bands. I bought my ticket a month ago so I will be there! Thanks for the post about SWR, although I knew there was a new album in the works.

  12. Dale says Good grief, that's a sweet lineup! And to think that The Cure and SWR will both have new music to play at their sets. :::jealousy rising:::

  13. Augusts1 says Yea, isn't it? So looking forward to it!
