Album: Songs For Clem
(18)

yesterday the moon was full and i sat on the beach hoping to see it. there was a huge fog bank over the water for a really long time, and then suddenly it lifted just enough for me to see the harvest moon rising over the water... my photo doesn't do justice to the real thing, but trust me it was moon-tastic!

here's a cover song from one of my fave Canadian gals, Sarah Harmer... it's a duet with Jason Euringer. originally this song was written in the early 1900's by a guy named Jack Norworth and his wife Nora Bayes.

I came out of the pub last night after seeing a friend who's put his band back together after 30 years (sensibly it's just some fun) and the moon was hanging in the sky clear and sharp. I could count the seas and craters it was so big. Only I was standing on a city street. Your photo makes me really jealous...that is so peaceful and beautiful a place. Sarah's got a lovely voice with which to celebrate the harvest.

My daughter and I were gazing at the moon Wednesday night wondering if it appeared the same colour in other places...looks like it did!

I love that Sarah Harmer album - it just occurred to me that my dad would like it too - as did Sarah's - I saw her live last summer and she did Black Coffee from that album.

that must be amazing. we have wolfes in the north, just a few ones. saddly people hunt them for years until they are almost instinct. now, the law protects them. same for bears.
