This is my recently discovered favorite angst-artist, Alex Parks. In the general genre of the angry/sad screaming teenager(except she's a young woman now) she has some of the best and most poignant angsty songs I've ever heard, no so much in terms of rage and anger(there are others for that, aka Evanescence) but just sheer, undiluted drama and hurt. This is the video that sold me on her(not incidentally, it reminded me of Garden State). While I don't necessarily agree with the values expressed in her life, she's got flair and abandon in her work, and deserves to be better known.
