WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Foo Fighters can get the best of you!

Posted over 2 years ago
I wasn't into hard rock until I heard the Foo Fighters' song "Best of You", which blew all of my expectations of the hard rock genre. I often equated hard rock with pointless, screaming metal, which was quite the mistake on my part. The smart vocalist for the Foo Fighters never screams for the sake of doing so, instead using screaming as a way to convey powerful, evocative emotion. The music video for "Best of You" is all at once emotionally resonant, aggressive, and edgy. It will redefine your view of not only the hard rock genre but also the Foo Fighters themselves. They certainly got the best of me and I will never be the same! Long live hard rock!

  2. alowishus says Yes! The Foo Fighters use the screaming in a very good way. Only when necessary to convey the emotion of the lyrics. Dave Grohl is a great musical talent. Open minds never hurt anyone.
