WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

R.I.P. Madeleine L'Engle

Posted over 2 years ago
Author Madeleine L'Engle passed away last week at the age of 88. According to the "New York Times":http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/08/books/07cnd-lengle.html?em&ex=1189569600&en=52224855097f3bc6&ei=5087%0A obituary, _A Wrinkle in Time_ was rejected by publishers 26 times, but has sold over 8 million copies and is in its 69th printing. Most of us probably read some of the 8 million copies in existence during our preteen years. We're posting the song "Madeleine L'Engle" by the Seattle Educore masters "BloodHag":http://www.alternativetentacles.com/bandinfo.php?band=bloodhag from their album "Hell Bent for Letters":http://www.alternativetentacles.com/product.php?product=1267 (2006). Death metal is probably not Ms. L'Engle's cup of tea, but we hope that this impassioned tribute will prompt some of you who slacked off on reading _A Wrinkle in Time_ in 6th grade or whatever to pick up a copy and give it another go.

  1. wassonii says Saw that she had passed. Definitely proof that perseverance is all. And while you're probably right about this track not being her cup of tea, still, she would likely have appreciated the tribute of sorts. Blessed be.
