September 16th 2007 marks the 30th anniversary of Marc Bolan's untimely death in a car accident on Barnes Common in London. Marc Bolan would have been 60 this year. Universal have recently released 3 T Rex singles on vinyl and downloads. Also, Demon Music Group are releasing three key T.Rex singles from the seventies in a variety of digital downloadable bundles complete with bonus tracks and previously unreleased material. The exclusive tracks include a duet with Marc Bolan & his partner (and mother to Rolan Bolan) Gloria Jones. The digital releases offer fans a chance to collect a range of formats and songs from download stores. With the astonishing and pleasing (especially for people like me!) revival in vinyl, these iconic recordings will also be available in highly collectible limited-edition numbered, red, white and blue coloured 7-inch vinyl format. What I like about them is that they use the original 70s artwork.
