WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Robinets de Révolte

I have a great fondness for this track, but it isn't my favorite by the band in question (that would be the live version of "Attack Ships On Fire" off the double-live You Goddamned Son Of A Bitch). I don't really listen to a great deal of the ol' Wax Trax! stuff as I used to do. Much of it - hell, MOST of it - hasn't aged especially well. That said, my heart will always have a soft spot for this stuff. All those bands - especially Revco -- sorta lost the plot after a while. Ministry certainly did. I don't think I can listen to anything of theirs that followed Psalm 69. They just sorta painted themselves into a none-more-black corner. Yawn.

In any event, I'm currently reading Chris Connelly's brand new autobiography, Concrete. Bulletproof. Invisible + Fried: My Life As A Revolting Cock, and it made me want to blow the dust off some of these old records. Play this one loud, and at someone you profoundly disrespect.

  1. wessidetempest says When they played in Detroit for this tour it was one of the most violent shows I have ever witnessed. For whatever reason a bunch of skins and apple sids showed up and were fighting with each other and anyone else. Plus it seemed like the rest of the people were either coked up or on some sort of chemical substance.
