My Favourite Albums of 2008
2008 marked the birth of my baby girl Charlotte, which also meant I didnt have quite as much money to spend on new music. As a result, my favourite albums were generally by bands I already liked (a couple of exceptions like Fleet Foxes & Vampire Weekend).
Very much looking forward to other peoples end of year lists to see what I missed out on, like The National last year.
Without further ado, here are my top 10 albums of 2008 in no particular order.
1. Joan as Policewoman - To Survive
2. Bloc Party - Intimacy
3. Coldplay - Viva La Vida
4. Death Cab for Cutie - Narrow Stairs
5. Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid
6. Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
7. My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges
8. Tindersticks - The Hungry Saw
9. TV on the Radio - Dear Science
10. Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend

Top tens are always tricky.. I still haven't heard the Vampire Weekend or Fleet Foxes albums, thoguh I was rather impressed with the TV on the Radio and Coldplay albums (my favourites in those band's discographies so far!). My tentative top 10 picks:
