Track:Bang BAng Your Dead
Amazing lyrics, screaming guitar, and catchy tunes are what make the band Dirty Pretty Things the band of 2006. Their first album Waterloo to Anywhere has yet to make a name for itself like something such as Rebellion by Arcade Fire, but there is no doubt in my mind that it is one of the top five best albums so far in the 21st century. It starts out with a pissed off song called Deadwood, and then continues on to the poised track of Gin and Milk. Bang Bang Your Dead is supposedly the hit of the album but Im not incredibly crazy over it. Waterloo continues on with a sting of rip-roaring songs that include Doctors and the Dealers and If You Love a Woman. Every sing on this eleven track album is incredible. What really makes it high class though is the electric guitar cords simulated by Carl Barat. The lyrics are good too, for example: in Gin and Milk, Barat says "Give me something to die for!" If thats not powerful then i dont know what is. So buy the album on itunes and you will be happy for the long car rides to come.
