Take two: Be kind to your sister. Siblings fight tooth and nail, then reconcile...eventually. (I was a snot-nosed-PITA-devil-boy to my older sister.) On a recent OC16 "Pakele Live!" segment, Natalie Ai Kamauu spoke of her younger sister, who was the wiser one. Natalie introduced this song as a musical apology for forgetting to name her along with the rest of the family upon winning Female Vocalist of the Year at the June 2009 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. We should all be that kind to our relatives...

Another look at Natalie's "Pakele Live" segment and looking over the liner notes to her music CD means I got it wrong! "Evergreen" is/was a wedding song for her brother, Chad Ai. So, it's more of a sister-in-law connection here.
