Dear God, Please Smite Def Jam Recordings If They Fuck Redman’s New Album over like They Did Ghostface’s and Method Man’s Past Two Albums.

I’m not going to pretend like all of a sudden I love hip hop again like I used to back in the day because I don’t. But yesterday I listened to this new Redman joint from the upcoming Def Jam Album Red Gone Wild! The song I heard is called Gimme One and its produced by the legendary Pete Rock and all I could do was to wake the fuck up and smile like the Kool Aid Man. Oh Yeah!Redman is just naturally great at rapping, his voice breaths pure passion and his rhymes not only rhyme but he actually spits pure fire. Redman is everything an artist on Def Jam’s roster should be or wish they could be. And the best part about Redman is he doesn’t have to force himself on you to convince you that he’s hot like some them other Def Jam artists. Maybe it’s because he’s too busy knocking you the fuck out with powerful lines like:Yo! Your style might be Parkay but mine butterThat bitch can’t break no bread, then why fuck her?I’m kind of cocky homeboy, did I stutter?I popped the umbilical cord of my mother.I jumped out the womb, I became a whale that’s hard to harpoon, I need more room! The hood loves me, so I keep it real gully.I got handsome, but my flow is still ugly!Turn the treble out the track and I’ll G it,The lines in my rhyme is longer than Ikea.I stay on my grind but when I come up with an idea,Then yeah! Its party over here! Its five years I disappeared but I’m back,And tell Nino Brown and them that I’m crack!Grab my bozack, middle finger is up,I got your Grandma giving it upGimme One! Redman is just too talented to be on a lame label like today’s Def Jam. As a former hip hop fan and a former diehard Def Jam follower I find it sad and discomforting that I honestly feel this way but its true and I can’t change that fact. But what I could do and will do is support Redman by buying Red Gone Wild when it drops March 28th 2007.
