A few of you may remember John Popper being pulled over and arrested earlier this year, when police found the inside of his car looking like Suge Knights office. Well Popper appears to be off the hook on this one, when a judge granted a conditional dismissal of the marijuana charges.
The misdemeanor marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges will be dropped as long as Popper avoids being caught with the illegal substance again in the next year. Before anyone cries foul, Deputy Prosecutor Ted Sams says deals of this nature are common in Adams County for misdemeanor drug cases.
Popper was pulled over in March after going 111mph on the interstate, in addition to the weed officers also found handguns and knives in the vehicle (legally owned). A weapons charge was avoided for the brass knuckles were dropped once Popper agreed to turn the item over to authorities.
Popper is currently touring in Europe and wasn't available for comment.
