Kelly Clarkson Returns To Pop Music While Licking Her Wounds

Posted over 2 years ago
Remember earlier this year when "Kelly Clarkson got totally badass and fired her management, rejected $10 million dollars from Clive Davis, and refused to put radio friendly pop songs on her new album My December":http://mog.com/Afficionado/blog_post/84240?
Well yeah... Kelly has decided that maybe it wasn't the best idea in the world.

Kelly's new management has revealed the singer will release a pop album early next year with songs chosen by Clive Davis, who appears to have buried the hatchet with Clarkson. Kelly's troubled album My December has been a critical and commercial failure, selling a paltry 850,000 copies to date. The new album will probably feature less songwriting from Clarkson, and more poppy goodness from the team of hitmakers at J Records.

  1. Sterfish says It's funny that 850,000 is considered "paltry" when the album doesn't have a hit single to its credit. Even though it's less than her other albums, I'd call that an achievement.

  2. Groon says It's also sad that she's shot down after actually trying to focus on music instead of money. Too bad they can't just be happy with the money she's already made them, and let her do her own thing now. Or is it she that can't be happy, I wonder?
