WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Carrie Underwood's Sophomore Set Due In Late October

Posted over 2 years ago
It's not often that you begin working on a new album when your old one is still performing well on the charts and generating interest. That's exactly what Carrie Underwood is planning to do, the country starlet has begun work on her sophomore LP. If she wants to duplicate the success of 2005's Some Hearts, shes staring in the face of a very tall order.
The Idol star also plans to stick firmly to her country roots on the album, there will be no Kelly Clarkson-like genre experimenting. "I really, really like being a part of country music-and hopefully they like having me-so I don't have any intentions of trying anything else."

  1. supertopsecret says That is great that she is so true to country music..and it is great that she wants to keep pushing out new tunes, but I just don't think I will ever get into her songs. I have never been diagnosed with any sort of country music fever. Patsy Cline is the closest I will get.

  2. dermahrk says I think she has such a wonderful, emotive voice. The only Idol I've ever bought product from and I will be first in line for the new CD when it drops. I'm no fan of mainstream (music for morons) country, but there are a few who float my boat. Carrie's one of the best.
