Remy Ma's Shooting Victim Speaks Out

Posted over 2 years ago
Just moments after shooting one of her best friends twice, Remy didn't call an ambulance, she dumped her victims purse open to locate money. This is the gospel according to Makeda Barnes-Joseph, who is recovering at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan.
Remy Ma being taken out of the police precinct after being charged early Saturday morning.
Barnes-Joseph is in stable condition after suffering two gunshot wounds early Saturday morning, "What hurts me is that when she shot me she went over and dumped the bag, She didn't even say, 'Oh, my God, I just shot her.' That's what hurt me so much." A crying Barnes is still in a state of disbelief as to what happened, "All I heard was the gun go off, I couldn't believe she shot me!"
Remy Smith plead not guilty to attempted murder, first-degree assault and weapons charges yesterday and is now free on bail, after her manager put his home up as collateral. Only identifying himself as "Big Joe Of New Era Management", Remy's representative doesn't think Remy is the type to do such a thing, "I don't see her as the kind of person who would shoot someone," he said. "Remy doesn't carry a gun." The father of the victim sees things quite differently, "This is a premeditated action," said Boris Barnes, "She meant to kill my daughter."
According to Boris Barnes Remy rummaged through his daughters belongings while she was slumped over in the drivers seat , before speeding away in her blue SUV. The two girls had been friends for more than 10 years. "The fact she would think I would steal from her," said Barnes-Joseph, "it hurts me because I thought she was a friend of mine."
