Thom Yorke & Flea's new band debuts in Los Angeles

Posted over 2 years ago

Thom Yorke debuted all-new songs with his new supergroup in front of an audience sprinkled with celebrities in an intimate gig last night in L.A. The band includes Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joey Waronker, who has worked with The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mauro Refosco, and producer Nigel Godrich. Tickets for this gig at the Echoplex were an extremely hot commodity, selling out within minutes and allegedly being scalped online for thousands of dollars.

Yorke and the band started things off by running through the tracklist of his 2006 solo album "The Eraser", adding subtle layers to the song to give them a new twist. After a set that lasted nearly an hour, the band left the stage and Yorke handled duties on his own for a while.

But that wasn't the end of things, the band eventually found themselves back on stage to premiere several new tracks before closing the show with a special version of "Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses".

The band is scheduled to perform two more gigs on Oct. 4th & 5th, but good luck getting your hand on any tickets.

Here's the setlist:

'The Eraser'
'Analyse'
'The Clock'
'Black Swan'
'Skip Divided'
'Atoms For Peace'
'And It Rained All Night'
'Harrowdown Hill'
'Cymbal Rush'
'Open The Floodgates'
'Lotus Flower'
'Skirting On The Surface'
'Judge, Jury, Executioner'
'Paperbag Writer'
'The Hollow Earth'
'Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses
