Dr. Phil Apologizes For Britney Spears Visit

Dr. Phil has caved into the pressures from the family of Britney Spears and the medical community and issued an apology for his visit two weeks ago. In case you forgot what was said after the visit, Phil was quoted as saying:
"My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her."
Thirteen days later, Dr. Phil said this to the studio audience at Friday's taping on his television show:
"Was it helpful to the situation? Regrettably, no. It was not, and I have to acknowledge that, and I do," Phil McGraw told his audience Thursday during an episode of Dr. Phil that will run Monday, according to USA Today. "I definitely think if I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn't make any statement at all. Period."
A complaint was filed against Dr. Phil earlier this week that claimed he violated the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. It alleges Phil practiced clinical psychology without a license and violated the patient/doctor priviledge.
Hurricane Britney spares no one.
