At last, I've got the first mix of our triumphant Auction Mart gig on cd. I've been wanting to upload an MP3 for ages, and now I have. It's of Osogovka, a traditional Macedonian dance in 11/8. I've trimmed off the first minute, which is our musical director teaching the audience to clap the rhythm. Basically it's 1-2, 123, 1-2 or, as I've subsequently found out from my friend Boris, "I once knitted a jumper, it was ever so easy". But I've left the md saying "Prepare to be amazed". Not sure that the audience were though, see what you think.Incidentally I'm pleased that the bass is quite high in the mix, I did have it turned up to 11 though! Credit for the solos, Kate Madison on tenor sax and Mark Parkinson on flute (if I remember correctly). And credit for the photo, and more like it on www.thecravenimage.co.uk, to David Alcock.
