WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

So...

I can't wait to get my paws on a pair of these:Word on the street is that Courtney Love has been meeting with executives from Smith & Wesson. No word yet on the content of these talks, but it's pretty hard not to get excited by the possibilities.

  3. Cody B says I thought the whole appeal of Converse was based on the canvas Chuck Taylor models, the colors they came in, and their low cost...otherwise Converse products have always been just OK...and their new campaign featuring leather shoes and/or Cobain models is disgusting, which I believe was your point. I apologize for taking so long to agree.

  5. Abobo Kiddymangle says I think you nailed it, Cody B. Funny thing is, I can't think of anyone I know who would wear these, and I image most people could make the same statement. It makes me wonder what the target market for these are, everyone I know who wears converse justifies it by using the reasons you listed. deadmandeadman, that is just crass... Good work!

  6. Cody B says Well now that I checked the link, I see they will have canvas models, which makes more sense, considering those are the shoes he would've worn..Of course, Kurt had the Raincoats and Meat Puppets canvas models. I guess the high price will justify some people buying them.. Another peeve..those damn old school rawk t-shirts at Target. Having a new Led Zepp or Beatles tee is just rediculous...In no time you'll see someone with a Led Zepp tee and Kurt sneaks. Instead of wilding Emo kids I think bands of Moggers should roam the streets exacting pounds of flesh from cobain kicks wearing kids.

  7. Abobo Kiddymangle says Yeah, I guess people will buy anything. I didn't know about the old school tees, though, I guess I just don't get out enough. Snooping around I did find something that indicates Kurt enjoyed the "one-star model":http://sneakers.pair.com/cobain.htm as well. Seems like he might have been of the same mind regarding exacting a pound of flesh, although he was a little haphazard in the removal process..

  8. I am says Hey Cody if your forming a posse count me in. Is it alright if I wear my steel tip Survivors? Not only do they look cool they do a number on un helmeted skulls. Being a bit old school I wear solid color canvas and 'nothing else' (which as you can imagine draws a crowd and a police escort).

  9. Cody B says Ok, I'm willing to admit I'm wrong, but those suede Converse shoes from the 70's are ugly compared to PUMA's..

  10. gympumpkin says I had a pair of shoes like that once. 15 years ago. They were green and, more importantly, didn't have Kurt Cobain's name on them.

  11. Abobo Kiddymangle says Well, for the record, I guess, I'm wearing some reasonably ugly shoes branded with NSS. Although, they do look pretty rad when I'm at the skate-park doing three-sixty nose-boners on the three-quarter launch-ramp. So this, apparently, is how I chose to admit that I have very poor taste in shoes. I'll have to take your word for it on the suede, Cody B, but I'd never be so bold as to say you're wrong.

  13. Jonh Ingham says It gets worse. There's going to be an Ian Curtis Converse. They didn't even come into the UK until after he was dead.

  14. Abobo Kiddymangle says Presumably those will be a velcro model... Hey this could be that start of a whole line of signature series velcro cons, including; Pete Ham and Tom Evans, Kevin Wilkinson, Richard Manuel, John Lee, and hell, even Michael Hutchence.

  15. John Madden says WWKD? Not buy this expletive-deleted shoe. Whatever happened to just writing Nirvana lyrics on the shoe in marker or Tippex (white-out/liquid paper to Americans in the house...)?

  18. Lamicus says I am anxiously awaiting Kurt Cobain fruit snacks, so that my future son will know precisely not only how teen spirit smells, but how it tastes. I also had a joke about Courtney Love fruit leather, but considering the only leathery thing about her is likely her weatherbeaten vagina, I decided not to go there. I am adequately prepared to rock. Added.
