Much has been made of Nine Inch Nails' new album being given away for free. And I do applaud Mr. Reznor for continuing down the digital road he's on....however...The Slip just isn't very good. It sounds as though he had a bunch of B-Sides laying around and put them together. There's no inventiveness in the sounds. Admit it - when you saw the ads for Julie Taymor's Across the Universe you cringed.The wife and I finally saw it and I was shocked how effective it was. Well worth the time. Check it out if you haven't yet.(FYI - this song isn't in the film - but my oldest daughter has been singing it non-stop, which I think is brilliant)
