(No) Sex in the City

Posted over 3 years ago
So I just got back from watching the brand spanking new Sex and the City film with my girlfriends, and I was not disappointed. It was everything I'd expected of the movie, and more in the sense that it delivered the demands for amazing outfits, sinfully beautiful shoes, and some (common) knowledge on relationships and men. And although it's not the greatest film ever made, or maybe even the greatest that the film could have been, I did like how it stayed true to the characters. Not to give away any of the plot, but the film really managed to stay faithful to what Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda stood for without making it super dramatic or contrite and superficial. While I'm no film critic, I really enjoyed the movie. Jennifer Hudson's song at the end of the film made me want to run outside and spin down a sidewalk and shot that I'm in love...but I'm not in a city (little town in Lancashire), the sidewalks are slippery, and I'm definitely still single. Oh well...I'll just go watch the movie again and *pretend* that I am.
