MOG MOG

MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

A quick look through the past six months of activiTy on the FunkAdelic artist's page shows that Moggers are keeping the name and rep of the band on our minds on a pretty regular basis. However, not many have posted vidjos of the band, and those that have, have been drawn to "Maggot Brain" like veritable moth to proverbial flame. Try sumpin diffunt tooday.

At about 2:45, not nearly long enough, but you gotta love the all-around package; real square host, très 70s graphics, Mardi Gras Indian and Grand Dragon get-ups, etc.

I looked on YouTube in vain for the promised Bobby Sherman rendition of "Hey Mister Sun".

Found instead this surprisingly hard-edged reading of "Julie Julie Julie Do Ya Love Me".

Evidently performed in Nashville; Bob must have picked up some locals for backup.

Oh what would the world of psychedelia be without chroma key and linear video editing. Sweet song and video. I want that host's suit.

Sherman built a one-fifth scale model of Disneyland's Main Street, made entirely by hand in his yard at home.
