I'm a big Elephant 6 fan...and the Apples in Stereo were a big part of that crew. I truly love some of their older records, such as The Discovery of a World Inside the Moone and Velocity of Sound. A new B-sides & Rarities collection is now poised to hit the stand, Electronic Projects for Musicians. I would have to imagine that Robert Schneider's vaults are pretty full, giving him lots to choose from (Has anyone ever cared to count how many bands he has been in? The man does not sleep). While New Magnetic Wonder was not my favorite Apples record (by a unfortunately large margin), I do still have the love for these indie-pop pioneers. Order their new collection from Yep-Roc and the first 200 to do so will get a signed CD by the head Apple himself, Robert Schneider. Yum.
