   2Serenity says Very powerful song. You have to sit back and listen and understand the lyrics. That is one thing I love about Sade. It does not really hit you what she is saying until you just think and sit back for awhile. Somalia has had so many problems with Ethiopia. There is a lot of tension. People flee from East Africa because there is not a lot of stability. The rapper K'naan has discussed this in some of his interviews on youtube. It is not just Somalia that has these issues but the entire continent of Africa has been rapped of its natural resources that people are angry, sad and destitute. As you know, this has been going on for centuries. It hurts me every time I turn on the TV or the news there is a picture of a dying child who is hungry or is dying from AIDS. Why did this have to happen? This is why many conscious African Americans are frustrated universally because there is not much that can be done. Although I have to give credit to Bono and many others for bringing attention to the destruction of Africa, it has been going on for centuries since the beginning of time. It may be too late. My pastor in my church said that people need to recognize what is going on there because once Africa's resources are depleted where else will the world turn too?? America's resources are truly rich and are protected but we need them to survive.
