WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Alice In Videoland

Posted over 2 years ago
Alice In Videoland are a Swedish new-wavy electroclash band with cocky female vocals and a retro feel down to the strap-on keyboard. Not really my type of stuff, but enough moggers are into the genre to make filling this gap worthwhile. (Really, it's Dale and Anna that I've been holding out on here.) Their debut album Maiden Voyage (2003) is a pretty fine exemplar of its genre, but as far as I know its distribution outside Scandinavia was pretty spotty. It was followed up by Outrageous (2005). Since then, the band has been gigging occasionally, but as far as I know, no new releases have been scheduled. You can stream some songs from Outrageous on MySpace, here are two videos from their debut.

  7. ebuzzmiller says hate to be a crank, the girl's cute, but this bands sounds like Stacy Q beamed in from the 80's and bought a new synth, For reference: I'm a huge Electroclash fiend, so many great artists in that scene, just not feeling this for some reason.
