Nick Cave side project Grinderman to release album

Posted over 2 years ago
Exciting news from Anti- Records. Grinderman, consisting of Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos and described as "foul-mouthed, noisy, hairy, and damn well old enough to know better," will drop their self-titled debut album in North America on April 10, 2007. A sample track, "No Pussy Blues," has been streaming on MySpace for several weeks now. As I recall, and as a re-listen just now confirmed, the song has a simple but hypnotic bass line and a couple of awesome Fun House-era-Stooges style guitar freak-outs. Looking forward to a full-length.

  7. Anonymous says yeah, i already have the album. won't say how i got it... it doesn't disappoint.. it's pretty much all of the same sort as "no pussy blues" aesthetically, tho every song is quite individual.. nick cave plays guitar in the band, and it's a little closer to their no wave roots.
