Remembering Eddy
It's Eddy Shavers birthday on 20 June and I don't want to forget to pass on my best wishes so I'm posting while I remember.

Eddy was the son of Texas songwriting supremo Billy Joe Shaver, don't know him? Go and Google him. Eddys' claim to fame was his guitar playing. Heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan? Then you have a pretty good gauge of how good Eddy was.
Sadly, Eddy left us, New Years eve 2001.

great post! i'm a huge fan of Billy Joe, Eddy more by extension, and i had no idea his birthday was coming up. he is certainly deserving of a tribute. and, imo, he and his dad both deserve more recognition than they get.
welcome back, by the way. i wasn't really active around here before you went on hiatus, but i think it was Cody B who pointed out our similar tastes to me way back when. it's great to see another fan of the Shavers!
